Struck by car, man taken to JCMC
Monday, May 18, 2009 By CHARLES HACK JOURNAL STAFF WRITER The victim of a hit-and-run, a 34-year-old Jersey City man was taken to the hospital Saturday night with life threatening injuries, reports said. Called to the scene at 9:07 p.m., police found the Kennedy Boulevard resident lying in the intersection of Montgomery Street and Bergen Avenue being tended to by EMTs, reports said. Advertisement A witness told police he saw the car that struck the pedestrian head south on Bergen Avenue, reports said. Police said the man was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center with life threatening head injuries, but a hospital spokesman couldn't provide an update on the man's condition last night. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the Jersey City Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit at (201) 547-5403.
