A Jersey City woman was stabbed in the head and chest by two men who attacked her on a staircase landing in her building as her daughter looked on in horror yesterday morning, officials said.
The 26-year-old victim said she was walking down the stairs in her building on Bergen and Virginia avenues when a man grabbed her from behind while a second man stabbed her numerous times, reports said.
She told responding officers both men were wearing gloves and her daughter told police she saw everything, reports said.
Both men ran after the attack and the woman was rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center, where she was treated for two stab wounds to her left chest and one to her forehead, reports said. The victim also suffered numerous wounds to her hands inflicted as she tried to block the knife blade, reports said.
