Jersey City cops seized 250 bags of suspected heroin and arrested three men while executing a search warrant on Monticello Avenue Monday, officials said.

Frederick Mable, 29, of Monticello and Clinton avenues, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. and charged with drug offenses that included drug possession with intent to distribute near a school and near public property, reports said.

Lyroger Shakoor, 40, of Garfield Avenue, and Glenn Garvin, 40, of Oak Street, were charged with drug possession and resisting arrest, reports said.

An investigation led narco cops to get a search warrant for Mable's home, reports said. While staking it out Monday, police saw Shakoor and Garvin leave the building and lift small packages to their noses and inhale deeply as if snorting heroin, reports said.

When officers closed in on them, they tried to flee and resisted being handcuffed, officials said.

Officers then saw Mable leave the building and get into a car. But he was stopped and police used his keys to enter his home, reports said.

Officers found the heroin in a closet, reports said.

A woman with her 4- and 14-year-old daughters were also in the apartment, but they were allowed to go, reports said.

Mable served time in prison from June 6, 2002 to Nov. 26, 2005 on four convictions for drug possession with intent to distribute near schools, corrections officials said.
