Cops charged a man with harassment after he made repeated sexual comments to a Demarest High School student, police said.

The 18-year-old student and school officials called police Wednesday morning after the man followed the girl to school. The girl said the man shouted sexual remarks at her and said he was "going to pick you up after school," police said.

The girl said the man approached her previously on the 400 block of Jackson Street and tried to talk to her, but that she walked away. She said he also made sexual comments to her several times when she walked by him alone, police said.

The girl gave police a description of the man and cops spotted him at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday near the corner of Willow and 10th streets, police said.

Eugene Ortiz, 23, of New York Avenue in Jersey City, was arrested and charged with harassment, police said.

This incident comes nearly a week after two female students said they were sexually harassed by a male staff member at Hoboken High School.
