Another great one is Fig & Olive. I have only been to the one in the meatpacking district (have been several times -- it's great), but there is one in the 50s on Fifth and one on Lex in the 60s.

there used to be an awesome restaurant right under/inside the 59th st bridge, it might still be there. it's called gustavino's or something close to that. the ambiance is fantastic. this one i highly recommend, but that's off of 1st ave.

there are a million and one places to eat in that area!!!!!!! 60's and up is all french, italian, medtrnan, fusion, the whole lot is in that neighborhood. i say figure out as you're walking around, there's so many in between park and lex on the inside streets. i'm sure you're bound to run into something you like within 10 mins. you can't go wrong. prices are all just a smidgen above average.

If you want to treat yourself, try Park Avenue Winter, which is on 63rd and Park.

Or you can try Lever House, which is on 53rd and Park.

Both of those are a little swank, but you deserve it!

There are a lot of other great more low-key places on Mad and Lex too -- near Bloomingdale's. I will keep thinking...

We've got tickets for a show Saturday there, and I have no clue what's near there for some reasonably prices good eats.

Anyone know that area well?
