Thanks everyone for responding! LadyBerth...I personally think it is illegal since there is NO WAY they can prove you were parked in the zone between those hours. I sent an email to the NJ Attorney General's office but I never heard anything. Your are 160 dollars, because you have to pay the ticket too! NOT FAIR!!
You should call and see if you can get a court date that won't interfere with your work schedule

holy crap. I was booted with a similar situation...(they spotted my car at 9 and at 4 when I had paid to put my car in a lot for the day) only going to court and losing a work day wouldn't pay for the boot, so I haven't fought it and I'm out $110. Grr

It wasn't easy! What happened is that I was spotted at 9:30 am on Manila and 4:15 on Eerie by the JC PD. Honestly, between those hours my car was parked in the parking lot of 700 Grove where my sister lives. I brought in proof that my car was parked in that lotfrom her concierge and my sister as a witness. It took 2 court dates..but I won!

That's awesome -- congratulations! It's so easy to bitch about how crappy things are but it takes a lot of guts (and energy) to fight back. So glad it worked out for you!

Congrats to you, I also got out of the parking ticket, boot cost, and the "boot fee". Call or visit the Parking Authority during business hours and ask to speak with Fernando Pecorello.

Has anyone here ever been refunded for the $110 boot fee?
I WON in court!! Woohoo! I was found not guilty, but I am wondering how I get the money back that I paid to take the boot off. If anyone can tell me I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
