A Union City man who ran a red light in the Jersey City Heights Wednesday and refused to pull over when cops gave chase was later arrested at his home, police reports said.

Robinson Loubriel, 28, of Central Avenue at Fifth Street, was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with eluding police and issued several traffic summonses, reports said.

When patrol officers spotted Loubriel run a red light at Congress Street and Central Avenue driving a Nissan Maxima, they turned on their overhead lights and siren and tried to pull him over.

But Loubriel kept driving and picked up speed when he hit Fourth Street and lost the cops, reports said.

But the officers ran the plates and headed to his Fifth Street residence where they ran into Loubriel in the elevator, reports said.
