Jersey City police say they are investigating a Greenville bodega where people have allegedly been playing the Dominican Republic lottery.
Cops responding to a fight Monday at 7 p.m. at a market on Kennedy Boulevard spoke to a woman who said she had her sister put down $65, winning $3,200, according to reports.
But when the woman, a 33-year-old resident of Lord Avenue in Bayonne, showed up to collect her cash, a store attendant told her only the owner could pay her and he was not around, police said.
The cops took her betting slip and will continue to investigate the situation, reports said.
