Thanks Metropolis and Sal, I appreciate it!

Metro, you mention bringing a camera...??!! Does this mean I will be taking a photo of the photo?

The name of the office you seek is hidden within the subject line of your post.

The archives are in the basement of City Hall - I would recommend scheduling a visit - the folks that work in that office are really nice, and very happy to help people.

I forget the name of the specific office, but it's at City Hall... ask at the guard... and bring a camera. As I recall, it's straight ahead to the right when you walk in (It's been a few years since I did it). You can also get all kinds of other interesting information about the property... and the 1960 surveyer's photo as well.

Mark.

I am trying to get a "Certificate of No Effect" to begin work on the facade of my building, but was told that I need to get a "1938 Tax Assessors Photo." Problem is, I forgot to ask at which city office (or Library?) would I find it? Does anyone have any experience or know where to find this?

Thanks...
