Thursday, February 21, 2008 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER One Jersey City man was shot in the face and a second in the leg when gunfire erupted at a Greenville park yesterday afternoon. Both were listed in stable condition at Greenville Hospital last night, officials said The shooting took place at a park at Rose Street and Old Bergen Road around 3:15 p.m., Lt. Edgar Martinez said. Police are looking for two men seen running away from the park after the gunfire. One is described as being 5-foot-10 and wearing a brown North Face jacket, Martinez said. The other is described as being 5-foot-8 and wearing a gray jacket, a "skully" hat and blue jeans, he said. No additional information was available last night. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Jersey City Police Department tip line at (201) 547-JAIL.
