Sisters' faces slashed with busted bottle
Jersey Journal December 31, 2007 Two sisters were attacked Saturday morning with a broken bottle in a bar brawl, Jersey City cops said. Jamillah Hicks, 28, of Dwight Street, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and weapons possession, police said. Officers were called to Greenville Hospital at around 2:25 a.m. on the report that two women were victims of aggravated assault, police said. One victim, a 25-year-old Warner Avenue resident, was treated for a large gash to the left temple and right cheek, authorities said. Her 22-year-old sister, a resident of Monticello Avenue, had a gash to her left temple and right hand, police said. The two sisters said they were inside G's Corner bar on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when they were approached by a group of women claiming to be members of the Bloods street gang, who then attacked the two sisters. The siblings managed to escape and flee to Greenville Hospital. Cops went to the bar and arrested Hicks after the sisters identified her as one of the assailants, police said. CHARLES HACK
