I don't agree that Newport is in Hamilton Park. Hamilton Park is an attractive, mostly brownstone dense community. Newport emerged from abandoned rail yards west of Hamilton Park. That said, I would define Newport as Marin to the West, 6th Street to the South, the Hudson to the East. The Northern border is a bit more complicated. The Northern borders is Hoboken and 14th Street when East of Washington Blvd, the Holland Tunnel West of Washington Blvd to Marin Blvd.

See the map below.

imho even if those buildings were built by Newport they are still in the Hamilton Park Neighborhood. To me the North border of hamilton park is (formerly existent) 11th street.

Maybe you might include a little wiggle to the West including the Roosevelt and Lincoln apartment buildings basically between 10th an 11th and Marin and Jersey Aves? Behind the Mall.

It is Lefrak property CONNECTED to Newport but I don't know if it was part of the original land grant. So maybe Newport, maybe not...never-never land. Some might call it Hamilton Park.

6th Street (Gangemi) = South Border
Marin (Henderson) = West Border
Long Slip Canal (Hoboken) = North Border
Hudson River = East Border
