How stupid can you guys be, you work right next door at J&N Maintenance. And then Scott puts it right onto his own pickup.

What do you expect, the smart criminals work on wall street.

JERSEY CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION PROPERTY
Stole snow removal gear

(on video), cops charge

Two Jersey City men were charged last week with taking a snow plow and salt spreader from a Jersey City Board of Education truck two weeks earlier, police said.

The two men, Jose Antonio Santiago Barranca, 35, of Oxford Street, and Scott A. Lorenz, 36, of Emerson Avenue, were seen on video unlocking the front gate and taking the pickup truck from the school district lot on Oxford Avenue on Jan. 16, cops said. About 15 minutes later, police say, they returned the truck - without the plow and salt spreader.

The two were charged with conspiracy and theft.

Paula Christen, a spokeswoman for the school district, said an internal investigation is under way to determine how the suspects got keys to the truck and front gate.

Board of Education employees told cops the front gate was unlocked when they arrived at work at 7 a.m. that day. The pickup truck was parked where it had been left, but they noticed the $6,000 snow removal equipment missing.

Police say they watched the surveillance tape and saw Barranca and Lorenz, who work at a cleaning company next door, walk into the property. The pair then drove a pickup truck out of the lot at 2:02 a.m., removed the equipment and returned the truck 15 minutes later.

Barranca was arrested Friday and Lorenz surrendered Saturday, cops said. After Barranca's arrest, cops found a pickup truck with the school board's blue snow plow and red salt spreader attached at Lorenz's home.
