The pies are not overpriced for the ingredients, that's for sure. I ordered the Mai Pie, my son the Farm Pie, and the my husband had the one with the truffles. Delicious and the crust was perfect. All went well with a lovely glass of Barbera. We took home a fair amount, and I've been having toasted pizza for breakfast every morning. I look forward to going back to try other items. I must say, though, the bar seats look really uncomfortable!

So this is no longer a bar at all, right? Just restaurant?

Have been there twice now and both times have been excellent. The wood-burning oven is the secret here, putting this place neck and neck with Paulus Hook Brick Oven as my favorite pizza in town. The quality here is far superior considering the ingredients being used. i.e. truffle oil, fennel, local veggies and meats.

The homemade sauce is just as delicious; used on some pizzas and their amazing meatballs.

Highly recommend the tartufi, margherita, mai pie, meatballs, bone marrow crostini, beet salad, farm salad, and the oven-charred bread with their homemade butter (worth paying for, though it would be nice if it were complimentary). Great wine. Haven't had the beer yet, but I'm familiar with the brands they carry.

The owners are always present and quite friendly, as is the staff and service. Music is at the perfect level, allowing for actual conversation without needing to yell.

Glad Bar Majestic closed down for this spot to take over.

Walked by last night out of curiosity and ended up staying for dinner. We got a standard margherita and a farm pizza, which had fennel and onion. The pizza was really good. Brick oven style with good balance of cheeses and thin dough. The crust made the whole pie. It's slightly burnt and crispy, similar to Franny's in Prospect Heights or Porta Pizza in Asbury. The other pizzas on the menu looked good and ranged from about $12.50 to $16 for an 11" pie. They also had a bread order on the menu (?) which I assume was pretty special but I wasn't about to pay for it. There were a few beers and wine as well.
It's not a cheap slice, but definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in town. Also the interior looks nice. It's essentially the same layout as Bar Majestic but with a big oven in the back and the booths have been replaced by small tables. That space more inviting now that they opened it up. Service was excellent and the owner came up to thank us for trying it on opening night. We'll be back.

despite the fact that, in my opinion, the last thing this part of Jersey City needs is more pizza, this place looks awesome. way to step it up and increase the bar.
