They?re not cheap and not as easy to store securely between rides as a regular bike - those will always be limiting factors. But as our bike infrastructure gets built out, and electric assist becomes less expensive and more widely available, I?d expect to see more cargo bikes around.

I?d LOVE to see cargo bikes as a bike share option in Jersey City, maybe a couple years down the line, after dockless and electric-assist bikes are added to the mix.

I friend of mine has one similar with electric assist for the hills around Portland. He rides his kid all over the place when not using it for groceries and commuting.

I know someone in the Heights who rocks one all over the place. Giant loads of groceries, random people jumping into it on night light-up rides?It?s awesome.

These are awesome, they should have them for Citibike! They look so much more stable for kids or cargo than putting them high on the back of your regular bike in a seat or crate. I've come close to losing control a lot of times getting on and off with a heavy load.
