Why expect competence from a patronage job? Former mayor and convict Gerry McCann is a sanitation inspector, we've gotten nonsense tickets from him.

So, is your concern why you aren't getting warnings before the citations? or are you not sure about what you are doing incorrectly with your trash that you keep getting citations?

We have neighbors who regularly put bags of trash on the sidewalk on non-trash days. Trash is only supposed to be put out on the sidewalk on trash days after 7pm.

This week, a neighbor put their cans out on the sidewalk on Wednesday (trash day was thursday). They should have gotten a ticket.

It might be because the seeclickfix website & app where people report things. It goes out & that might be why u don't get a warning. People already send in pics as proof of the offence.

Has anyone noticed an uptick in the number of sanitation citations being issued with no warning? Is there a reason for this?

I have received sanitation citations almost monthly for the last few months regarding the placement of my trash bins. These fines were given with no warning and they are a bit ridiculous as our trash cans are at the side of our residence and are properly labeled so there is no confusion as to who owns them. Our neighbors have said they have not received any citations, which I find somewhat odd.
