Hi there! The previous post is correct. Refinishing bamboo can be toxic and is usually not worth the trouble because it can fall apart in the process given that it isn't wood but grass.

You cannot refinish bamboo. It contains glue which binds the strands of bamboo together. Some also contain formaldehyde which is toxic and would become airborne if sanded. Hopefully it's not glued down to the subfloor. If it's floating it will be much easier to replace.
