This is discriminatory:
"denying them training opportunities" This is bullshit: it's 2017, no? if we're going to fight for equality then this is nonsense. failing to keep male firefighters from walking around firehouses wearing bathrobes or just their underwear; not providing areas in firehouses for women to dress privately; and more. Jersey City to settle firefighter's gender bias lawsuit for $50KBy JERSEY CITY -- The City Council next week is scheduled to approve a $50,000 settlement for a female firefighter who sued in federal court alleging widespread gender bias in the fire department. Constance Zappella, the city's first woman fire captain, accused the city and several high-ranking fire officials of limiting promotions of women by denying them training opportunities; failing to keep male firefighters from walking around firehouses wearing bathrobes or just their underwear; not providing areas in firehouses for women to dress privately; and more.
