You actually can still do the home defense in NJ, as it's your Second Amendment right, but due to the "progressive" influence, it is easier for you to get in trouble than if you lived in a stand your ground state. But you know the saying, better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. And, unfortunately, it's very difficult to get a license to legally carry your gun with you, which has resulted in criminals being the only armed ones on the street.

I would want to be able to shoot someone who invades my home, or carry a pistol so when the shooting starts, maybe I can shoot back?

wo teens have been charged with shooting a 19-year-old Jersey City man in the head last month, according to a criminal complaint. Abbas Yousaf, of Bayonne, and Rossman Agbanlog, of Jersey, both 18, have been charged with the attempted murder of Matthew Bolger. The two men appeared in Central Judicial Processing court this afternoon via video link from Hudson County jail, while each of their attorneys appeared in court on their behalf. According police sources, Bolger was shot in the head on Garabrant Street near Johnston Avenue on Oct. 10 during a botched robbery. More
