The Images of America series (Arcadia Publishing) has several good photographic essays on Jersey City http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/jerse ... kenneth-french/1103726481 The library may have them in the Jersey Room.

I think the candy store was Barricinni, Robinson"s was on the corner of Pavonia and the Blvd, where the transportation center currently stands.

I don't think they were all in the same building. Vic Tanny's was on the second floor of the building where Cohen's Fashion Optical is today. Orange Julius was in 2 locations but across the street near Three guys Pizza, then further in on the right. Don't remember where Kinney shoes was, but I think Liss or Woolworth's was where the Right Aid is.

That was in the Jersey Journal building. A real nice big open place with a lot of counter space and stools. Used to hit it all the time for the date-nut bread with cream cheese sandwich. I guess when they left it became a Radio Shack. A lot of internet traffic still taking about those date-nut sandwiches.

Some archival pics would be great, there was a chock full of nuts back in the day @ JSQ as well.

Don?t know the name of the building but walking up the concourse?.
On the right corner Barrica(?) candies, a fruit store, a frankfurter/drinks joint, (Red?s) Tube Bar, a pizza parlor. On the left corner was Orange Julius, along with a diamond mart, a hosiery shop , Universal Foods (love those rotisserie chickens) and Woolworths. Woolworths also had an entrance on the Blvd. There was a red brick building next it to on the Blvd. that housed Robinsons restaurant.

Hello, does anyone remember what building in the 60s in JSQ had Kinney's shoes, Orange Julius, and Vic Tanny's in it?
Thanks
