Great news. Get them off the streets and into mental health care facilities.

I have to say this is a welcome change. A couple weekends back, I saw a disheveled man in front of J Sq. drop trou, pull out his thing and with his arms stretched out and up while shouting, piss in the middle of the street, basically begging the authorities to do something about it. I'm looking forward to this area being free of vagabonds like these.

Probably the guy trying to walk through the crowded 5:10 WTC-NWK PATH train tonight. Was waiting for him to fall over someone as he passed though the car.

JSQ PATH station?

They're saving up for renovations.

They're doing it this early? And without a major renovation project? Back in 2006 the developer of Grove Pointe got rid of the vast homeless population that used to sleep on mattresses at the Grove Street PATH station by undertaking a complete renovation of the plaza. Since the plaza was entirely under re-construction, the homeless had to find somewhere else to move on to.

I thought that they wouldn't be pushing the homeless out of the PATH station at least until a few months before that new KRE tower was ready to open, but that's still at least a year and a half away.

On the way to work yesterday there were 2 undercover cops frisking someone who I think must have been panhandling around the turnstiles (I think they turned him lose with a warning not to panhandle at the station). This morning I noticed that the usual few people asking for money were not around.

Could this be orders from above to clean up the station? I am not sure if this is a temporary crackdown but has anyone else noticed this?
