Is it really cheaper to blow these up rather than re-hab them? Are they being imploded because of emotional reasons rather than good financial reasons? Housing projects are often appreciated for their design which allows cross-ventilation and lowers the need for a/c. I understand that there are often issues with supervising children but maybe those problems can be solved thru architectural modification and/or social intervention.
