Would-be thief tries ripping chain off Jersey City man's neck (VIDEO) By Ben Shapiro | The Jersey Journal on July 24, 2015 at 3:46 PM, updated July 24, 2015 at 4:07 PM JERSEY CITY ? A Garrison Avenue resident who was fixing his car Wednesday afternoon was thrown to the ground when a man snuck up behind him and tried ripping his gold chain from his neck. The incident was captured on neighborhood surveillance cameras, which show a man in a white tank top approach the victim -- Jorge Contreras -- from behind while he was fixing his car.
