Thanks for the advice y'all! I got the problem fixed. It turns out Comcast just had to send a signal to my modem to reset it. It's all good now. But thanks again for the responses.

Was using my PC to stream video all morning without problem. Comcast/Xfinity are supposed to show outages on your account support page, but frequently don't - plus it's useless if you have no connection.
Best way to tell is to make a wifi connection to XfinityWifi. You should have good service OTA anywhere near HP. If that connection works well, then the problem probably lies somewhere in your home network. If not, there's likely a local Comcast outage.
