another alcohol fuelled violence - did they get drunk in a bar, did the bar keep serving beer knowing they were intoxicated?
I still believe bars have something to answer for if patrons from a bar cause anti-social behavor or violence in their immediate vicinity. Bars are reknown to keep serving booze until SOME of their patrons are beyond self-control and only when they cause trouble within their premises do they stop serving and throw them out for society and police to deal with.

A 30-year-old Jersey City man was arrested after authorities say he punched a police officer during a large street fight early Sunday morning on Summit Avenue, a police report said. Marvin C. Simms, of Stegman Street, was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, rioting and failure to disperse, the report stated. Raimel Monroe, 22, Jersey City, and also charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, rioting and failure to disperse, police said. Police responded to a Summit Avenue parking lot near Magnolia Avenue just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning on a report of a large street fight, police said. Upon arriving, police found a large crowd of over 100 people yelling and fighting in the parking lot and began dispersing the group. Police spotted Simms being restrained by eight to 10 family members and friends who were attempting to calm him down, the report said. Read More
