I called the Hudson Mall store. While it is a very low traffic store for iPhones (or anything), they've historically gotten limited stock from Apple and generally don't get the iPhone in all its incarnations, like all the colors and sizes. Strangely, they said they were taking reservations, something that is strictly against Apple policy. I called the AT&T store at the Newport Mall and they knew nothing of reservations. I could have been #10 but I passed. I'm going the internet route and will wait to get it until after I get back. Thanks for the responses.

+1 on the Hudson Mall idea. That seems like a rather slow place, and the one time I had to visit that store, it was easy to get help, and I only had to wait a minute or two for someone to be available.

Try the AT&T at Hudson Mall. I remember a friend getting a previous iPhone on launch day with little to no wait there a few years back.

I never cared about getting an iPhone the second it came out. But, I have off Friday and am going away next week and would like to have the phone. So, that's my excuse, haha.

Is there a place in Jersey City or nearby that there might not be a ridiculous line or a place you don't have to camp out at? I called AT&T in the Mall and I was told that lines typically start forming at 4am. Forget that. If such is the case, I'd rather order it on the internet.
