There are some accidents in industrial environments that are harder to anticipate than others. One of them happened in a Jersey City warehouse on Wednesday.

About 1,500 pounds of pineapples crashed down on a man working in the warehouse, but he was able to walk away from the accident.

NJ.com reported that Jersey City Medical Center EMS responded to the call of the accident. The worker is in stable condition at the hospital, according to director Robert Luckritz.

The 39-year old man never lost consciousness, and was able to avoid a major injury, according to Gawker.

According to Digital Journal, the AFL-CIO?s annual ?Death on the Job Report? says that job fatality rates have remained about the same over the past three years. There have been about 3.5 fatalities per 100,000 workers and workplace injuries and illnesses have occurred at a rate of 3.5 per 100 workers through the same period, according to the report.

The man has yet to be identified.
