There's parking for 72 cars on the ground floor. BTW, that's not the Heights, it's Journal Square.

The parking around there is going to be insane and if they turn to rental units that neighborhood will be like a circus.

Not if they install an underground garage like they did down the block on Oakland & St. Pauls.

Speaking of Oakland Ave, has anyone on here heard about the status of those 11-12 story buildings the Deluco Organization received approval for on Oakland at Washburn St?

Haunted my ass. That owner is so rich that he's been sitting on the project until the market is back up. He bought the building, along with A&S Mills inside of the Whitlock Cordage project, and he has about 20 cell towers on each. I hear each cell on each tower pays him rent of $2000 per month. That's big bucks! He's putting two more stories in top for a total of 90+ units.

The chimneys were in bad shape and leaning ten years ago, I can't imagine how they are now. The building is haunted there are 2 ghosts in the building.

Are they tearing down the entire structure?

I worked in that building 10 years ago when a candle company bought the place to make candles.

After years of planning, it looks like the owners of the old commercial laundry building on Laidlaw & Oakland Ave have finally got financing.

They are tearing down some old garages to what appears to be the first phase of the project: Installing underground parking.

Hopefully when complete, the place will be 100% market rate apartments. This building is pretty much the last of the old light industrial buildings that pretty much went defunct in the early 80's.
