I'd like to replace some of the doorframes in my old house. Has anyone had this done? Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Anyone know a reasonably priced carpenter that could build custom wall bookshelves in JC?

+1 for the Wood Shed.

About 5 years ago I inherited a lovely Drexel bedroom set. The set featured an ornate kingsized headboard. I had no use for a kingsized bed & the headboard not only was damaged but could not be sized down. The set was almost 35 years old at the time.

A friend introduced me to Roland at the Wood Shed & I told him what I was looking for. He had me take some pictures of the bedroom set & bring in a dresser drawer. He sketched a headboard for me. I okayed it & in several weeks I had a headboard that if I didn't tell you otherwise, you would think it was the original. He matched the wood, grain & stain perfectly. Though it looks nothing like the original, it doesn't look like it isn't the original.

Hello, does anyone have any carpenters they can recommend? I am looking to price out a piece of custom built-in furniture.

Thanks

Anthony Sandkamp - sandkampwoodwork@aol.com

Anthony is a downtown resident who, in addition to being a great carpenter, is also very involved in the community.

You should email Jim Clemens -- he has a big shop out in Nutley and does really nice work.

jmsclem@earthlink.net

I'm not sure of a number -- but he does work for Bistro La Source or something -- call over there (201) 209-1717

Anybody have a good recommendation for a local carpenter/woodshop who could build me some custom studio furniture units? Helps if this person has done this kind of stuff before but probably not required.

Cheers.
