my niece was christened at St Matthews Lutheran (downtown on wayne) and we're not members there. You could also try Old Bergen Church (presbyterian). my kids go to sunday school there and we're not members. So, they might do weddings.

I agree they are very inclusive, maybe too much sometimes on teenager behavior, point taken. They accept and value all couples equally, including gay couples. Some other faiths use a more hierarchical system. I wish the originator of this thread a very happy marriage!!

They also don't discriminate against wild teenage parties that pollute the neighborhood with loud and decadent behavior.

You might want to try to find the closest Unitarian Church. They always seemed to be the most open to performing marriages for non-members.

The Catholic church has a website called www.masstimes.org listing every Catholic church in the world with each church's address and schedule perhaps the protestant church has one as well. I think there is one on Kennedy Blvd. and the corner of Graham St. up in the Heights.

Does anyone know of a Protestant Church in the area what would be willing to do a wedding on a Friday early evening? Preferably downtown, but I'm interested in anything in Jersey City and the surrounding area.

I'd really appreicate any tips.

Thanks!
