Dont go on a weekend! They create the infamous "waiting line" cause it's sooooo crowded inside - when everyone has a seat and there is no room for more asses to sit.

Seriously just like every other hoboken bar. Go to new york. Screw it - go to Germany!

No dress code I saw. I went in with a plaid short-sleeve button down, baggy cargo shorts and a clean pair of sneakers.

Will it eliminate the yuppies and soccer moms too!?! I might return if this is true. BTW is there a strict dress rule in the Hoboken one also?

As someone who lives in downtown, Zep is much more convenient for copious beer drinking. 1 block from the light rail, bigger and cheaper. The food quality at Hoboken is better, but not worth the half-mile walk from the light rail in what is a dingy area of Hoboken just to spend more than I would at Zep.

That said, I'm glad that they got their own beergarden, as it should reduce the bro crowd from Hoboken that invades Zep every weekend.

I passed it the other night on my way home. It had a long line of people waiting outside. At least they put it far away from residential areas. As far as parking, there is a garage on 15th Street closer to Washington but if you are going to drink you should definitely not drive.

what's the parking situation though? It's a bit out of the way as far as Hoboken bars go, and I'm not sure if they have a lot like Zeppelin does

yes

How are the prices?

more expensive than Zeppelin - about a dollar or two more per drink/food item

I heard they use real glass mugs instead of the plastic mugs Zepplin Hall has been using for the last two years

Yes. unknown how long that will last - I recall Zep using them as late as 2010 and using the plastic ones for large events.

How is the food?

Danke!

better than zep (a low bar, i know). They are much fresher and the kitchen is open for the public to see. You could see good looking burgers and well made fries all made to order.
