The boot camp (don't let the name fool you, the trainer is NOT a drill sergeant) I belong to in downtown JC is having a program for women coming up Jan 10th for 8 weeks INTENSE work outs! If any of you ladies are interested you can check it out here: http://ht.ly/3pGty
Personally, I tried Club Metro, it's a decent gym by all means, especially in Jersey City. But I find the camaraderie in BC to be worth SO MUCH. If you check out the website you can even see my testimonial =) I lost 40 freaking pounds in the first 3 1/2 months. I cannot say ENOUGH about how great this boot camp is. Seriously!

What are the rates for this gym? Is the 2 for 1 deal still in effect? I really want to join a gym in downtown but I don't want to pay NYC prices.
Is anyone a member of Club Metro? If so, how is it?

no they don't. it is a good deal if you just want to use the equipment and go. their hours on the weekend kind of suck too. they close at 5 on sunday.

We just wanted to let the residents of Jersey City who frequent this board know that Club Metro USA Fitness & Wellness Center will be holding our official Grand Opening Celebration on Monday, November 22nd. The main activities will be held from 5PM - 8PM. You do not have to be a member to attend and all are welcome. In fact, depending on where in the city you live, you probably have already received an invitation in the mail.
Throughout the day there will be complimentary massages, a cardio challenge, a fitness seminar, prize giveaways, complimentary healthy appetizers and snacks, wraps provided by the Muscle Maker Grill, Protein Shake & Fruit Smoothie samplings from our delicious juice bar, and most importantly a 2 for 1 special on membership enrollment!
