Hi All - I have scoured the internet for hours looking for a grief counseling group in Jersey City. I found one in NYC but would rather stay close to home.

If any of you know if a group like this exists in the JC area - can you please advise? Thank you.

Hi All! We are looking at buying in the Juliette in the Heights. Anyone live there or been there before? Just curious as to what if any issues they have had over the years. Ie...the walls are too thin...HOA fees are too high etc. Thanks for any help/info!

Petition has been started, not sure who, but if you live in the area and have watched Jersey Shore, then you're probably concerned.

Here is the petition:

It is actually the producers of "Jersey Shore", it would only be Snooki & JWoww, their spin off show, moving to either Jersey City or Hoboken. Those are the top two places on their list. It will definitely be filmed at a place downtown if JC is chosen.

I live in the 07306 area of the Heights and I walk to the PATH. It's about a 10 minute walk and that's with the snow. Without the snow I can do it in about 7 minutes.

Like someone else said, each street has a different vibe. I like our street, I hate our post guy but everyone else is great. =)

I heard them say Jersey City ONCE, and that was after the halfway point, and I looked up and was confused because I could have SWORN they said something about it being at the Meadowlands...but I guess the first part was taped at Meadowlands second in JC....anyway, as soon as I actually looked away from my laptop to watch, I could totally tell by the background that it was JC with those skylines but still....when they go to "Houston" or wherever else they go, they mention it a million times. They just tried to play off of the hype of Jersey Shore. Snorefest.

Brewster, exactly!

I have lived in the Heights 5 years and I love it. I'm also not afraid to walk home at night. I get pretty upset when most of my friends downtown try to talk me into moving downtown because it's "safer". I'm not sure by who's standards, I sometimes think they believe that there are people shooting up on my doorstep or something. =/

Well technically I'm stealing nothing because I deserve a parking spot just as well as my neighbors and being I took our car to my MIL's for safe keeping...I don't feel so bad.

So, I live in the Heights and have family visiting. Anyone know if we need to still put a guest pass in the car for parking? Our street still has YET to be plowed...so I'm guessing no, but should I err on the side of caution?

THE FRIENDLY NEIGHBOR AWARD

For anyone who went out to help neighbors shovel today (and possibly met neighbors for the first time like me).

Anyone else have neighbors who STILL didn't have shovels? I found this weird.

THE GOING THE WRONG WAY ON A ONE WAY AWARD

For all of the idiots in the heights who chose to go down my street the wrong way and almost cause about 100 or so accidents.

NOSY NEIGHBOR AWARD

I should probably claim this as I spent half of the day looking out the window watching people act foolish. Including the idiot who HIT my car...luckily I was watching out the window and able to run down and talk to him. Of course he denied it, good thing the snow showed proof. No worries tho, no damage done. Just maybe to his ego after I yelled a bit for him RAMMING back and forth to try to PUSH out of the snow instead of just shoveling it.

Truly a miracle no pedestrians were hit in that case!

I also can't believe A&P was packed during the snow...we knew about 3 days ahead of time it was coming.

The boot camp (don't let the name fool you, the trainer is NOT a drill sergeant) I belong to in downtown JC is having a program for women coming up Jan 10th for 8 weeks INTENSE work outs! If any of you ladies are interested you can check it out here: http://ht.ly/3pGty

Personally, I tried Club Metro, it's a decent gym by all means, especially in Jersey City. But I find the camaraderie in BC to be worth SO MUCH. If you check out the website you can even see my testimonial =) I lost 40 freaking pounds in the first 3 1/2 months.

I cannot say ENOUGH about how great this boot camp is. Seriously!

My question is ummm why did the cops, see all of this and then only put on the sirens instead of actually putting on sirens and geting out of the car?

I think I just made a terrible mistake...

Upon arriving home from work the doorbell rang and I answered. I was caught off guard having just gotten off the phone with PSEG earlier in the day I thought they were sending by someone to talk about lowering my bill.

A guy claiming to be from a company called PALMCO (and who said he also talked to my neighbors upstairs and downstairs, who both just told me they did but didn't sign anything)...long story short. He said they would be the new suppliers for PSEG and my bill would go down 5%-20%. I signed and he gave me a pink sheet with all of my info on it about how my bill will be lower etc.

But now, that I've had time to actually sit down and think, I believe I've made a mistake. A huge one on my part and extremely stupid.

Has anyone else had PALMCO go door to door? Did you sign? Did you not?

Basically, am I the only idiot here? Or is this legit?
