that was the police officer's suggestion too...unfortunately office hours is still a long time away and the alarm is still going. firefighters were here earlier responding to others' calls about this, but they said they can't do anything.

i also called the bank's emergency line printed on the front door. they assured me they were working on it. that was 2 hours ago.

the more people who complain, maybe the sooner they'll send someone here to pull the plug on that thing.

Or give the branch a call during business hours, ask for the branch/duty manager. Pretty sure they'll take some action.

What can happen with a lot of buildings, is that the guy in charge of the branch ops may not not know what's happening with the building services side. A lot of bank buildings and associated services are sub-contracted to other firms.

Anyone live near the Bank of America on the corner on Newark near Jersey Ave currently suffering from the ongoing alarm, ticking away in series of threes for hours upon hours?

This happens all the time, and goes on through the night until the bank opens in the morning and somebody figures out how to shut it off. I called the police and filed a noise complaint tonight, but wondering if anyone else as bothered by this as I am could do the same, since I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight with this ringing in my ears.
