correction - it may not be the very first left you can take after the left turn but if you follow the googlemap link you will see where to go. also at this intersection you are getting on 9 south for just a hundred yards or less - then you are able to make the sharp left turn onto broadway. look at the map...

If you take 139 you drive over the bridge down to the the large 4-way intersection/red light with US1-Truck South/Wallis Ave and take a left here. Then take your VERY FIRST SHARP left (there is a another traffic light you have to wait for on the left to make this turn) and this brings you onto broadway a bit west of the school - most likely the fastest and easiest by car. I wouldn't bike it!. here it is on google maps from hamilton park area:

TECCS from HP

There is a TECCS school bus that picks up kids on the corner of 8th and Erie at about 8am in the morning. 8th and Erie is close to 5th and Manilla.

There are other TECCS bus stops around the neighborhood.

I am going to try Newark ave--- that seems like the shortes route, but I'm not sure how hellish the traffic situation is around Dickinson High school.
I'll give 139 a try as well, but I'm not sure how bad the traffic is going into the holland tunnel.
There are no school buses that run from my neighborhood at this time.
I would bike it if I could, but it's not logistically possible at this time.

TECCS have a bus to take the kids to school and bring them home.

Failing that, have you considered cycling? You could be there in 20 minutes. Dpeending on the age of your child, either put them in a seat on the back, or let them ride their own bike with you.

I don't usually travel around that area during that time but going down Newark Ave seems like your best bet. I usually cut through St. Pauls into 139 above ground, right on Palisades, left on Newark... but that's around 5-6pm.

Does anyone know the fastest route from 95 Broadway to 5th and Manila? Mind you, this is at around 8:00 in the morning, so I'm not necessarily looking for the shortest way, but the way to avoid the most traffic!
