It was 100% fireworks. Saw them from my apt. It happens often from Spring to Fall.

Strange... We saw it too, on Essex & Van Vorst. Looked like fog coming in but smelled like a fire.

i think it's from the fireworks that were just going off...could be wrong but we heard/saw them from our windows. no idea what it was for though

I'm on 5th, heard a few loud explosions, and from my window i can see a huge amount of smoke south, not sure how far, but I would guess down by Van Vorst area. Anyone know what is going on?
