Christie can earn my future vote by signing laws that would thugs like this away for life - these people can't be rehabilitated! or most can't. especially if they can't read, write or speak decent English.

Cameras are helpful. What you also need is a leash, this is what happens when animals roam freely.

We need more than cameras to fight the crime issue we have in Jersey City.

An 18-year-old North Bergen man was beaten and robbed by a group of unidentified males while he was waiting for a bus Saturday morning in the Jersey City Heights, according to a police report.

The man was standing at the intersection of Beach Street and Kennedy Boulevard at about 10:30 a.m. when a group of teens or men ran up behind him, pulled his sweater over his head and began punching him in his face and his head, according to the report.

They ran off with the victim's red leather jacket, which was worth about $150, and his iPod, worth about $100, the report said.

The man was treated at Meadowlands Hospital for cuts and bruises.
