More Crime in the Heights
Tuesday, January 19, 2010 An 18-year-old North Bergen man was beaten and robbed by a group of unidentified males while he was waiting for a bus Saturday morning in the Jersey City Heights, according to a police report. The man was standing at the intersection of Beach Street and Kennedy Boulevard at about 10:30 a.m. when a group of teens or men ran up behind him, pulled his sweater over his head and began punching him in his face and his head, according to the report. Advertisement They ran off with the victim's red leather jacket, which was worth about $150, and his iPod, worth about $100, the report said.
