Last of the Year - Van Vorst Park Community Flea Market

September 12th is the date, from 9am-4pm around the perimeter fence of VVP. To be a vendor, make a donation to the ?Friends of Van Vorst Park? of $25 for one table (5?x3?), $35 for two tables, and $50 for three (sorry, we do not provide the tables). 100% of all donations collected, will go to the improvement and maintenance of the park.

Except for the northwest entrance, which is reserved for one food vendor, all spots are on a first come-first served basis. To participate, please make out a check to: ?Friends of Van Vorst Park Inc?, with ?VVP donation? in the memo and drop it off at Subia?s Market -506 Jersey Ave. Please leave a contact number or e-mail address in case we need a rain date or if you would like to be notified of additional markets.

Flea market at Van Vorst Park

Who knows what you may find at the Van Vorst flea market?

There seems to be a great amount of spring cleaning going on Downtown Jersey City, so much so that there is another "Community Flea Market Fundraiser for Van Vorst Park" on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tables will be set up along the perimeter of the park's fence. Friends of Van Vorst Park said the northwest entrance is reserved for a food vendor. Others who may still want to sell items should e-mail marcwesson2@aol.com or call 201 433-6553 before 5 p.m. tomorrow for more information.

There should be clear skies for most of Saturday. The flea market would be one those fun things to do in the neighborhood.

When attending flea markets or garage sales, do you want to browse or look for a specific item, such as watches, jewelry, or books? Are you a bargain hunter who likes to barter or just pay what the seller is asking? Drop us a comment.

Instead of having a flea market this Saturday, we should all get together and build an ark?enough of this rain already!

Based on multiple weather forecasts for this weekend, I?m rescheduling the flea market for the following Saturday, the 27th. If you are unable to attend that day, if requested, I will return your donation to Subia?s, and with ID, you can pick up your check.
