why the hell do people carry so much cash around on them? if someone ever robbed me, they'd be in for a rude surprise after they got my wallet.

Stealing his sweater is the thing that really gets to me. It reminds me of the guy who had his pants stolen off his bed a few months ago.

That's horrible.
Tips for people, if you feel like a certain group or person has been following and you think you might be getting jumped, just call someone on your cellphone. I'm sure if you explain to them why your calling at 1:25 AM they should understand. Chances are the group will go elsewhere instead of atking you. Regardless, it doesn't justify what was done to this guy. Purely horrible.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER A North Bergen man being robbed in the Heights on Saturday managed to punch one of his attackers in the face as they beat him to the ground and stabbed him in the leg, officials said yesterday. At 1:25 a.m. the 21-year-old North Bergen man got off a bus at Palisade Avenue in Jersey City and was walking up Paterson Plank Road when he got to Central Avenue and overheard a group of males speaking in Spanish about attacking him, reports said. When he got to Secaucus Road and Summit Avenue one of the men punched him in the cheek and another punched him in the face before he managed to punch one of them in the face, reports said. The victim fell to the ground and one of his attackers stabbed him in the thigh, reports said. Other men then came over and began to punch and kick the victim as they went through his pockets and took $250 and his sweater, reports said. The robbers ran away and the North Bergen man walked to the Christ Hospital emergency room for treatment of the leg wound, reports said.
