Boy, 15, tries to hit cop calming dispute
Jersey Journal Tuesday, January 13, 2009 A 15-year-old Jersey City boy arguing with his eight-months-pregnant girlfriend was arrested after taking a swing at police officers responding to the scene, officials said. The Palisade Avenue boy was arrested at Cambridge and Griffith streets at 7:42 p.m. on Sunday and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and disorderly conduct, reports said. Officers dispatched on a call of a dispute arrived to find the boy and his girlfriend in a loud verbal fight and ordered them to stop and then asked them what was going on, reports said. "None of your (expletive) business," responded the boy, who then took a boxing stance and tried to punch an officer who immediately threw the boy against a wall and arrested him, reports said. The boy was placed in the police cruiser and taken to the juvenile bureau, reports said. On the way, he told the officers he was going to punch himself and blame it on the cops, reports said. He was taken to the Hudson County Youth House in Secaucus. MICHAELANGELO CONTE
