Three men were arrested on charges they assaulted two off-duty Jersey City police officers after cursing at the cops and then attacked the cops with their car yesterday morning, officials said.

At 2:30 a.m., Carlos Ortiz, 33 of Summit Avenue, and Moatasen Basuoni, 23, of Rock Street, both in Jersey City, as well as Ivan Ortiz, 20, of Union, were arrested at Boyd Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard and charged with aggravated assault on police officers, reports said.

Detectives Alex Rivera and Luz Rojas were walking at West Side and Communipaw avenues when the three men pulled up in a car and one of them cursed at the cops, reports said. The officers continued walking to Rivera's vehicle when Ivan Ortiz threw a plastic soda cup at them, reports said. Moments later, the three men pulled up again and threatened the officers, reports said.
