Is the police or is it the Jersey Journal who makes these ridiculously politically correct descriptions of suspects?

...from a Wachovia? More likely just made off with an unknown amount of bad debt.

Downtown bank robbed

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

A bank robber made off with an unknown amount of cash yesterday afternoon in Downtown Jersey City after he handed a note to a teller demanding money, police said.

The man, wearing blue jeans, a white hooded sweatshirt with bones on the front and a green head rag, entered the Wachovia branch at Hudson and York streets about 1 p.m., reports said.

He slipped the teller the note and placed a black bag on the counter, police said.

The teller put some cash in the bag and the robber exited onto Montgomery Street before fleeing in an unknown direction, reports said.

Jersey City police spokesman Stan Eason said the FBI will handle the case. Calls to the FBI's Newark office were not returned yesterday.
