Nab 2 wolfpack suspects

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

A man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested by Jersey City cops who saw a wolfpack set upon a robbery victim and observed one of them slap the man across the face Monday night, officials said.

Jesse Matos, 18, of Cottage Avenue in West New York, and the 16-year-old, of Waverly Street, were arrested at Lincoln Street and Central Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night.

The Robbery Unit officers were patrolling in an unmarked car when they saw a group of about nine juveniles surrounded a 42-year-old man and saw saw one of them strike the man and begin going through his pockets, reports said.
