It's bedtime stories with Healy
by The Jersey Journal Tuesday January 08, 2008, 2:09 PM Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy Do you want Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy to tell you a bedtime story? If yes, you're in luck. Healy's is the latest voice on the city's Public Library Dial-a-Story program, which children can access by calling (201) 547-4604. To hear Healy read "The Three Little Pigs" choose storyteller No. 3. "The Dial-A-Story program is a great success and I am glad to be able to share a classic, childhood tale with the Jersey City children," said Mayor Healy. "When parents spend time reading and telling stories with their children, the children's minds open up to a whole world of imagination and discovery." The program was introduced in January 2004 and offers pre-recorded stories for children from pre-school age through age 12.
