wtf, were they thinking, who's idea was this? I like the idea of location maps in the city but this one is just idiotic.

I?m sure you have noticed the proliferation of signs being placed all over downtown sidewalks but this one just boggles the mind. Placed yesterday, in the middle of the sidewalk, just off the Jersey Ave. and Montgomery St. entrance to Van Vorst Park. After a half dozen phone calls, I still can?t get someone to take responsibility for it?s placement. However, I was able to get a commitment from the head of the Buildings and Streets Dept. to remove it by the end of the week. So with their usual good planning, the city will have damaged part of the $600,000 Jersey Ave. sidewalk renovation ? what were they thinking and where was the supervision? img][/img]
