we've tried the guards from home depot/lowes, but would prefer the more durable kind. if anyone's used a company and can give us a suggestion, we'd appreciate it!

You can get them from Lowes or Home Depot, about $30 each. They are adjustable to fit any window width, and you can by them in various heights for different windows lengths, 3 bar, 5 bar, or 7 bar.
Simple to install, a few screws into the sides of the window frame. Robin.

i was wondering if anyone has had window guards installed on their own and if so, who they put them in.
i want to have a few installed on my apartment windows to give myself a little piece of mind. any input is appreciated!
