Is this a drive-by or a ride-by shooting?

3:15am and shot by guy on bike. Another horse siht excuse for police about another drug turf dispute.

Not for one second do I believe there is this many 'random' people being shot for the hell of it.

Shot by man riding past on bike, cops told

A Jersey City man was shot in the leg Sunday by a man riding past him on a bicycle, a spokesman for Police Director Sam Jefferson said.

At about 3:15 a.m., police responded to the Jersey City Medical Center on a call of a man being shot and found the 31-year-old Bergen Avenue man, reports said.

Through a Spanish translator the victim told the officers a friend was dropping him off at his home and he was getting out of the car when a man riding a bike fire three rounds, reports said. One bullet struck the victim in the leg, reports said.

The friend put the victim back in the car and drove him to the Medical Center, where he dropped him off and immediately got back into his car and drove off before police arrived, reports said.

Officers dispatched to the crime scene found no trace of a shooting, reports said. Later, the victim said he wasn't really sure where he lived because he'd only moved to Jersey City 15 days earlier, reports said.
