In fact, I should take his number.

The tree was perhaps 20-25 years old. I know that it wasn't a particularly precious species and heard it referred to as a weed tree in fact.

Its a condo building and I own a unit.

Will check with our insurance policy though perhaps it should be his insurance policy that we need to check. All good surgeons have insurance policies, right?

Hate to see a good tree die, but will wait another month or so to see if all hope is lost.

How long has it been and do you know the species? Some trees take a long time to recover.

As for the question, I don't think you should be left holding the bag, but these things can be inscrutable and nonlogical. Is this a condo, and are you owner or renter?

A large tree in our garden was interfering with important wires entering our building.

At the request of the owners, the building management company hired a professional tree pruner.

They did a hatchet job and the tree has not recovered so we are left with an eyesore.

Who pays for the removal of the dead tree and possible tree replacement?

Cheers!
