Indio's is on 1st Between Brunswick and Colgate in the village.

Living on any block with a bar can take some getting used to and will at times be annoying, but Indios is usually full of very nice and decent people.

The bar on Bay and Erie is the Keyhole, which is also full of good and cheerful people.

By "park across the street," do you mean the JC Police Internal Affairs building? We're talking about the place on the corner of Bay and Erie, correct?

Good to know. I've only walked this block once in all the years of living in JC. I'd wondered about that little park across the street.

Doesn't sound like a good block to invest in...

I'm all for local businesses, but this joint is out of place within the nbr'hood. Maybe they came before the nbr'hood improved (slightly) to what it is today .... so can't blame the owner.

Never been inside, so don't know how the experience is ...

From an outsider's perspective, it looks scary.
